The Good Wife: Would Archie Panjabi Return for the CBS All Access Spin-off?

Archie Panjabi

Is Kalinda coming back? Recently, Archie Panjabi spoke with Zap2It about appearing in CBS All Access’ upcoming Good Wife spin-off.

Panjabi played Kalinda Sharma, the in-house private investigator for law firm Stern, Lockhart, Gardner, on the CBS drama. She left the series in 2015.

When asked about appearing on the The Good Wife spin-off series, Panjabi said she’d have to think about it:

Truthfully I haven’t even thought about that this juncture … who knows? I don’t know, to tell you the truth. Like I said, when I unzipped the boots, I knew it was the right time, so I’d have to sit and think about that.”

She did tease that she wears some very familiar knee-high boots in her new role on NBC’s Blindspot:

I loved Kalinda, I had such a great time on it, it’s something that’s very special to me. And I’m so thrilled to be on another show. In terms of anything that happened on ‘The Good Wife,’ I think it’s only respectful for it to stay on ‘The Good Wife.” It was time for me, for many reasons, to unzip the boots and step into another show, but I can tell you for those of you who miss the boots, I do wear a pair of knee-high boots on ‘Blindspot.’”

So far, Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King have revealed that the CBS All Access spin-off will feature Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo).

What do you think? Are you a fan of The Good Wife? Would you like to see Kalinda in the spin-off?
