Gotham is airing its second season on FOX, and it will return to the network soon. The series has been a hit for the network since it began. Is a spin-off for the series coming?
Gotham goes back in time, so it might be harder for a spin-off to work. According to Cinema Blend, Gary Newman, FOX’s CEO, spoke about the possibility of a spin-off for the FOX series. He said:
“We’re really happy with the creativity on Gotham this year. We thought the Rise of the Villains has been great, and it feels like a world that has many, many stories to tell. We haven’t had any conversations with Warners about whether or not they’d want to do a spin-off series. I think that would be an issue for DC. It isn’t quite clear to me that they’d be ready to do that, but it’s a good idea.”
DC is just as big as Marvel when it comes to television shows. In fact, some might say DC hits the small screen harder than Marvel. The DC universe has Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premiered last night. Superheroes are big business right now.
