ABC has put the Grace TV show project into development. Created by Eyal Podell and Jonathon E. Stewart, the drama hails from Mandeville TV.
Deadline reports the story is set in Grace, Missouri, and features a family of adult children, “whose lives are upended when their stalwart minister father reveals to his family that he is gay.” Stewart’s father was a preacher who came out. Grace is inspired by his family’s story.
The report describes Grace as, “…a serialized drama, a grounded, unfolding saga of a 21st-century American family and the everyday challenges they face as members of a community and as individuals, and how their faith both guides and complicates their lives.”
What do you think? How do you like the sound of this new potential TV show? If ABC orders Grace to series, will you watch?
