Where Are They Now? Some Green Room Chatter for December 7, 2007

Missing Kill Point? Though the series was cancelled, you’ll be able to see John Leguizamo and Donnie Wahlberg together on the big screen next year. They’re playing detectives alongside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in Righteous Kill. The cast also includes Alan Blumenfeld (Gilmore Girls), Carla Gugino (Threshold, Spin City), 50 Cent (The Wire), Brian Dennehy (Just Shoot Me!), and Frank John Hughes (The Sopranos, LAX).

Tony Hale (Andy Barker, P.I. and Arrested Development) has been signed to star with Jeremy Piven (Cupid, currently Entourage) in The Goods: The Don Ready Story from Paramount Vantage. Others in the project include Ving Rhames (2004’s Kojak), David Koechner (Still Standing), Kathryn Hahn (Crossing Jordan), and Jonathan Sadowski (American Dreams). Filming began this week in Los Angeles.

Steven Brand (Point Pleasant) has landed a part in The Human Contract with Jada Pinkett Smith (A Different World), Idris Elba (The Wire), Joanna Cassidy (Six Feet Under), Ted Danson (Cheers, Help Me Help You). Brand also recently secured a series regular role in the ABC Family pilot Samurai Girl.

Marlene Forte (Day Break, Crossing Jordan) has signed on for a recurring role in the seventh season of 24. When the series will return depends largely on the resolution of the writers strike.

Method Man (The Wire) has been cast in a guest-star spot for an episode of NBC’s Law & Order: SVU. He’ll also be seen in the upcoming film Meet the Spartans with Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), Diedrich Bader (The Drew Carey Show), Sean Maguire (The Class, Eve), and Carmen Electra (Summerland).

Derek Carter (Campus Ladies) has joined the cast of Serious Moonlight. The comedy feature tells the tale of a high-powered attorney who duct tapes her adulterous husband to a toilet just prior to their home being invaded by robbers. Directed by Cheryl Hines (Father of the Pride, currently Curb Your Enthusiasm), the film stars Timothy Hutton (Kidnapped).

Look for Alexandra Paul (Baywatch) to play a lesbian mother in Tru Loved. The movie also features Jake Abel (Threshold), Alec Mapa (Half & Half, currently Ugly Betty), and Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek, currently Heroes). Stay tuned!
