Freida Pinto is headed to Showtime. Deadline reports the actress has been cast in the network’s new mini-series Guerrilla.
From John Ridley, the six-part drama follows a couple “whose relationship and values are tested when they form a radical underground cell. Their ultimate target becomes the Black Power Desk, a true-life, secretive counter-intelligence unit within Special Branch dedicated to crushing all forms of black activism.” Idris Elba will also star.
Ridley is writing the series and executive producing alongside Elba, Patrick Spence, and Katie Swinden. Guerrilla is slated to begin production in London this summer.
