AMC’S “HALT AND CATCH FIRE” WILL BEGIN ITS FOURTH AND FINAL SEASON WITH A TWO-HOUR PREMIERE ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 19TH AT 9:00PM ET/PT

NETWORK RELEASES FIRST LOOK TRAILER AND PHOTOS

NEW YORK, NY- June 27, 2017-  AMC announced today that “Halt and Catch Fire” will begin its fourth and final season with a two-hour premiere on August 19th at 9:00pm ET/PT. The series, created by executive producers and co-showrunners Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers, chronicles the tech industry and the birth of the Internet in the 1980s and early 1990s.

The final season of the series will see our cast of characters navigating the early days of the Internet and web browsers, pondering their destinies both personally and professionally, while the competitive nature of the tech world continues to complicate and affect their relationships.

“Six years ago, Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers shared their vision for ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ and it has been a privilege to help them bring Halt to life, and to grow alongside them as we all dove into the project,” said Charlie Collier, President of AMC, AMC Studios and SundanceTV. “The Chrises, as we affectionately refer to them, are the personification of what so many of us love about our roles at AMC. They are smart, talented, creative people with whom we shared trust, crafting characters and stories that have engaged passionate fans. And, that the stories of Joe, Cameron, Gordon, Donna and Bos also dove deeply into specific creator’s journeys only made the experience with Chris and Chris all the more personal and satisfying. I’m thrilled that fans will enjoy a proper conclusion to the Halt and Catch Fire story. Fans will appreciate that, as it turns out, that first pilot script was very much the thing that got us to the thing.”

“Six years ago, AMC bet on a passion project and the two untested young guys behind it. As a consequence, we’ve been allowed to take the creative journey of our lives and tell a story that, over four seasons, became something greater than the sum of its parts,” said co-creators and executive producers Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers. “At its core, “Halt and Catch Fire” has always been about how people who make things put themselves into the things they create. Alongside our exceptional cast, writing staff, producers and network partners, we couldn’t be more excited to share these final ten episodes of this beautiful thing we all made together.”

“Halt and Catch Fire” stars Lee Pace as Joe MacMillan, Mackenzie Davis as Cameron Howe, Scoot McNairy as Gordon Clark, Kerry Bishé as Donna Clark and Toby Huss as John Bosworth.

AMC recently announced that actress Anna Chlumsky (“Veep”) will be appearing in “Halt and Catch Fire as Dr. Katie Herman, Chief Ontologist–a crucial role in this season’s central business ventures.
