Alexis Bledel is headed to Hulu. Deadline reports the Gilmore Girls star has joined the streaming service’s upcoming series The Handmaid’s Tale.
Based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, the drama centers on Offred (Elisabeth Moss), a young woman who lives in a dystopian society where women are considered property. The cast also includes Joseph Fiennes, Samira Wiley, Max Minghella, and Yvonne Strahovski.
Bledel will play “Ofglen, Offred’s companion and fellow Handmaid.” The Handmaid’s Tale premieres on Hulu on April 26th.
