Even though it’s cancelled, fans of Hannibal can re-visit the beginning of NBC serial killer series with a new perspective. Recently, VashiVisuals posted a side-by-side video comparison of the series’ pilot script and its initial scenes.
Hannibal was cancelled in June after three seasons.
In the video, editor Vashi Nedomansky has put both the text and imagery of the series’ pilot, “Apertif,” together in order to illustrate the visual creativity of creator Bryan Fuller’s show.
In the post, Nedomansky said:
I want to focus on the first episode titled “Aperitif” written by Bryan Fuller and share with you the script superimposed with the actual show to fully appreciate the translation of script to screen. This first episode of HANNIBAL is visually and creatively fantastic and raises the bar of what to expect no matter what the format. The translation of word to imagery is no easy task. What do the written words actually turn into in front of the camera?”
