Happy City: Dan Harmon and Extremely Decent Developing Comedy for FX

FX Networks logo

FX is headed to the city. A Happy City that is. Deadline reports the network is developing a new comedy series with Dan Harmon and comedy troupe Extremely Decent.

Harmon is the creator of the cancelled NBC/Yahoo series Community, which ended last year.

From Deadline:

Described as Thomas the Tank Engine or Theodore the Tugboat for adults, Happy City follows a young taxi named Tyler and his millennial friends (a firetruck and a helicopter) as they navigate their way through life in the big city. The world of the series will be reminiscent of the model-based visual style of children’s shows such as Thomas the Tank Engine, using models with animated faces to comedically explore adult themes such as broken relationships, workplace struggles, and existential crises.”

What do you think? Are you a fan of Harmon and/or Extremely Decent? Would you watch Happy City?
