Harry Connick Jr. is getting some help from Steve Harvey. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Steve Harvey executive producer Jason Kurtz has joined Connick Jr.’s new syndicated daytime talk show, Harry. Kurtz began working on Steve Harvey when it launched in 2012.
Like that daytime variety show, Harry will also feature a mix of live performances, interviews, and audience interaction. Connick Jr. is currently a judge on the final season of American Idol, which airs it series finale on FOX, this week.
From Kurtz:
I was in awe of Harry during the pilot and I knew that we were at the beginning of something very special. Harry is a rare talent, perfectly blending music and comedy and I can’t wait for viewers to experience the magic Harry brings to this medium. I feel so lucky and proud to join Harry, the impressive duo Justin and Eric Stangel and Ann Marie Wilkins as executive producers.”
