FOX is developing a new horror TV series, Haunted, from William Brent Bell and Chris Morgan. The thriller is a loose adaptation of the book, The Demon of Brownsville Road, by Bob Cranmer and Erica Manfred. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Haunted is, “…a chilling horror series about a military agent who is partnered with her ex-boyfriend, now a rogue demonologist, to help a family overcome a deadly demonic infestation of their home.”
Fans of the cancelled TV series, Angel, are excused for blurting out, “What’s a rogue demon?”
From TV Wise:
William Brent Bell is penning the script for the project, which is set up at Fox’s sister studio 20th Century Fox Television. He will also serve as an executive producer on Haunted alongside Ainsley Davies and Chris Morgan, who is based at the studio under an overall deal. Lisa Arianna is also attached to serve as a producer. At present, Fox has only handed out a script commitment to the drama.
What do you think? Do you like the sound of the Haunted TV show? Have you read The Demon of Brownsville Road? How well do you think an adaptation will translate to the small screen?
