Hawaii Five-0 (2010)

Hawaii Five-0 TV show on CBS: canceled or renewed?

(CBS)

Network: CBS
Episodes: 240 (hour)
Seasons: 10

TV show dates: September 20, 2010 — April 3, 2020
Series status: Ending

Performers include: Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, and Jean Smart.

TV show description:
This cop procedural is a re-imagining of the original longtime series that aired between 1968 and 1980 on CBS. The series focuses on a federalized task force designed to fight crime in Hawaii, and again includes the characters of Steve McGarrett, Danny “Danno” Williams, and Chin Ho Kelly.

Detective Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) is a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop. He returns to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder. While there, Hawaii’s Governor (Jean Smart) persuades him to head up the new team — with his rules, her backing, no red tape, and full authority to hunt down the biggest “game” in town.

It’s McGarrett’s aim to bring closure to his dad’s case, and to also repair his relationship with his estranged sister, Mary Ann (Taryn Manning). He’s also honoring his dad by restoring the old 1974 Mercury Marquis.

He’s joined on the new team by Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan), who has just relocated from New Jersey. He likes skyscrapers over the coastline but wants to keep the area safe for his eight-year-old daughter.

Detective Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) is also part of the new team. He had been stuck on federal security patrol after being wrongly accused of corruption while part of the Honolulu Police Department.

The rookie in their group is Chin’s cousin, Detective Kona “Kono” Kalakaua (Grace Park). She’s eager to prove herself among the others.

The state’s brash new Five-0 unit, who may spar and joke among themselves, but they’re determined to eliminate the seedy elements from the 50th state.

Series Finale:
Episode #240
This episode has not aired yet.
First aired: April 3, 2020.

I thought Hawaii Five-O was already renewed for another season! Where have I been the last few months?! Anyway, I have loved it from the very first episode and hope that we find out some good news soon about its renewal. I do not honestly think it is in any danger of being canceled at this point because the ratings were simply fantastic since the beginning of this season and especially the 100th episode that so many of us were just thrilled with seeing.

This show is getting another season because of syndication. No brainer. Only way CBS can get profit out of this crappy show. Because they are no getting it now from advertisers, only S4 and dumped on Friday. CBS will keep it on Friday until they get enough episodes even with crappy numbers.
I do wonder about TNT. This dud is doing terrible on syndication for them. Other cheaper shows as Castle and Supernatural are working better for TNT. What a rip off.

Please don’t cancel this show. This is my favorite show on TV and I can’t wait for Monday nights to see what happens next. The actors are great, the show is action packed and there is never a dull moment. Please think about us Five-O fans and do not cancel.

God Bless

Please don’t cancel the show,… Seriously The Way you guys do Ratings sucks & is incorrect & does not give a accurate description of the ratings the show gets or its popularity,… Jump online and go on any torrent site and you’ll see 1,000’s of people downloading or streaming the shows,… & it’s like that on every site,… 1,000’s of sites with 1,000’s of people downloading or streaming,… So you really need to update the way you use your technology to get more accurate ratings on shows,… You guys keep canceling extremely popular shows without a clue on their popularity,…… Read more »
