Heads up! Variety reports that HLN’s plans for a game show version of “Heads Up!,” the popular Ellen DeGeneres Show segment, have been cancelled.
In the game, one contestant acts out a phrase or person while the other contestant guesses what or who it is.
“Heads Up!” began on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a fews year ago. It soon became a fan favorite, and in 2013, an app version of the game became available for download.
HLN’s show-length version of the game was to be hosted by Loni Love and broadcast daily. The network reportedly taped 65 episodes of the series before scrapping it altogether.
No word yet on whether the series will be shopped to another network.
