Heathers will be back. Deadline reports TV Land has officially ordered a new anthology series based on the 1988 film.
From Jason Micallef and Leslye Headland, the hour-long dark comedy will be set in the present day and follow Veronica Sawyer (Grace Victoria Cox), a girl tormented by a group of mean teens known as the “Heathers.” The cast also includes James Scully, Melanie Field, Brendan Scannell, Jasmine Mathews, and Shannen Doherty, who starred in the original movie. This is TV Land’s first hour-long scripted series.
TV Land has ordered 10 episodes of Heathers, which are expected to debut in the fall.
