In the beginning, there was Pastor Todd Burpo’s book, Heaven Is for Real, covering his son Colton’s account of a near-death experience. Next, there was the 2014 hit film of the same name, starring Greg Kinnear. Now Sony and NBC are adapting the sequel, Heaven Changes Everything, as a TV series.
Randy Brown is set to write and executive produce the new drama which covers the Burpo family’s journey, after the first book was published. Scroll down for details.

…the hourlong drama revolves around a small-town pastor who must find the courage and faith to lead his parishioners after the news of his son’s visit to Heaven due to a near-death experience begins to capture worldwide attention.
Also executive producing are the Burpos, the Heaven Is For Real movie’s producers Joe Roth and T.D. Jakes as well as producer/ordained minister DeVon Franklin who oversaw the movie at Sony as SVP production.
