Hell’s Kitchen: Season 17 Ratings

Hell's Kitchen TV show on FOX: season 17 ratings (canceled or season 18 renewal?)

FOX still has a hankering for Chef Gordon Ramsay and his programming goodies. Fans don’t have to worry that his Hell’s Kitchen TV show will be cancelled too soon, either. It was renewed through its 18th season, back in September of last year. Will the ratings in the 17th season of Hell’s Kitchen prove the network’s faith is justified? Will it be cancelled or renewed for future seasons? Stay tuned.

A FOX reality TV series, Hell’s Kitchen is a cooking competition, hosted by Gordon Ramsay. Season 17 is an all-star edition, featuring 16 past competitors. This time out, they’re vying for a Head Chef position at the Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

The Red Team, made up of female contestants, consists of: Robyn Almodovar (season 10, sixth place); Dana Cohen (season 10, 3rd place); Elise Harris (season 9; 3rd place); Barbie Marshall (season 10, 4th place); Ashley Nickell (season 15, 3rd place); Jennifer Normant (season 9, 5th place); Amanda Palomino (season 15, 5th place); and Michelle Tribble (season 14, 3rd place).

The all-male Blue Team features: Jared Bobkin (season 15, 4th place); Nick Peters Bond (season 14, 5th place); Giovanni Filippone (season 5, 6th place); Van Hurd (season 6, 6th place); Benjamin Knack (season 7, 3rd place); Milly Medley (season 14, 4th place); Josh Trovato (season 14, 6th place); and Ben Walanka (season 5, 4th place).

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

2/3 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: The 16th season of Hell’s Kitchen averaged a 1.09 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.48 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
