It’s high time for Kevin Smith. Variety reports that production has wrapped on Smith’s new pot comedy, Hollyweed.
The series was shot on spec and financed by several cannabis-related companies.
Written and directed by Smith, Hollyweed centers on the rivalry between two potheads (Smith and Donnell Rawlings) and a “neighboring cookie magnate” (Kristin Bauer van Straten). The series will feature appearances by Adam Brody, Chloe Dworkin, Jason Mewes, Hina Abdullah, Ralph Garman, and Pete Pietrangeli.
The series joins a number of other pot dispensary comedies including one from Chuck Lorre and Highland from Margaret Cho.
