Hot in Cleveland TV show: season 6 ratings (cancel or renew?)The ratings for this staple of TV Land have been falling for years. They’re a far cry from the first season’s 3.12 million average. Will they start to recover this year? Could this be the final season for Hot in Cleveland? Cancelled or renewed for season seven? Stay tuned.

Hot in Cleveland continues to follow the lives of three middle-age ladies from Los Angeles — writer Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli), beautician Joy Scoggs (Jane Leeves), and actress Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick). When their flight to Paris makes an emergency landing in Cleveland, Ohio, they discover a community that’s less shallow and youth-obsessed. They move there and lease a home with a sassy caretaker, Elka Ostrovsky (Betty White).

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

11/17 update: TV Land has announced that season six will be the end.

Final season averages: 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 790,000 total viewers.

Note: The 17th episode was simulcast on Nick at Nite which attracted a 0.22 rating with 689,000 viewers.

The 18th episode was simulcast on Nick at Nite (0.2 rating with 664,000) and Nick Jr (0.05 rating with 237,000).

On Nick Jr, the the 19th episode drew a 0.09 rating with 350,000 viewers. The 20th episode attracted a 0.02 rating on Nick Jr. The 21st episode drew a 0.02 rating on Nick Jr.

For comparisons: The fifth season of Hot in Cleveland averaged approximately a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 950,000 total viewers. (These numbers are approximate because some of the ratings for season five were not available.)
