Some mystery and magic is coming to FOX. Word is production has begun on the network’s new mystery drama, Houdini & Doyle.

The project comes from House creator David Shore and Canadian executive producers David Titcher and David Hoselton. It’s a co-production between Canada and the UK.

Houdini & Doyle will follow well-known magician Harry Houdini (Michael Weston) and Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Stephen Mangan) as they team up to solve a series of crimes in 1901 London. The story is based on a real-life friendship between the two.

The series is being described as an “Edwardian X-Files—with a sense of humour.”

Houdini & Doyle will begin airing on FOX in the U.S. in 2016, and it’s already been ordered for 10 episodes.
