Today, FOX picked up six new pilots to series, but what did they pass on? According to Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter, some of the pilots the network passed on are still alive, while others are effectively dead.
FOX’s new series include the police drama APB and a TV adaptation of the Lethal Weapon film franchise.
Deadline reports that two pilots may still be in contention—HR and Recon. From Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, Recon is apparently still being considered by FOX for a possible midseason premiere. The drama centers on a new FBI agent who goes undercover with a suspected terrorist family. Meanwhile, the workplace comedy HR is reportedly being revisited for further development.
On the bad news front, the interracial comedy Winning Ugly has been turned down completely by FOX. The pilot starred Bill Bellamy and Becki Newton as a newly married couple dealing with their new family. Other passed-over pilots include Zoobiquity, a medical drama starring Peter Facinelli and Marsha Thomason.
