Humans wrapped season one on AMC back in August, and the series will return for a second season. AMC and Channel 4 in Britain decided to renew the series back in July.

Sam Vincent spoke about the upcoming season with Digital Spy at London Comic-Con over the weekend, and he teased a bit about the future of the series.

Fans could definitely see three seasons of the series, according to Vincent. He also teased that the ideas for season two are starting to form.

“We think it could run longer than two series. Definitely we have a very rough playful notion of what we’d do in series beyond two. We’re still in the process of nailing down the stories for series two, of course, so that obviously has a knock-on effect. But we do think that far ahead.”

Humans is based off a Swedish series called Real Humans, but Vincent revealed that season two will be a departure from that series. Humans will “do its own thing” for season two, and Vincent had the blessing from the people in charge of Real Humans to divert from their story.

Humans will return with an eight episode second season in 2016. Are you excited at the possibility of at least three seasons of this AMC series? Tell us what you think.
