EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 2, 2016 — AT&T* AUDIENCE Network has ordered 10, 1-hour episodes of “ICE.” The new series is from global independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) and Antoine Fuqua’s Fuqua Films.

“ICE” will focus on the treacherous and colorful world of diamond traders in downtown Los Angeles. It will begin production this month and premiere on the AUDIENCE Network in 2016 exclusively on both DIRECTV and AT&T U-verse.

Antoine Fuqua (“The Magnificent Seven,” “The Equalizer,” “Training Day”) will direct the first episode and will serve as executive producer. The original series will be written and executive produced by Robert Munic (“Fighting,” “The Cleaner”). eOne will produce the show in association with AT&T and also controls international rights to the series.

“ICE” is a high-impact, serialized crime drama that follows the Green Family, as they plunge into the underbelly of the Los Angeles diamond trade. Jake and Freddy are half-brothers brought together by their father Isaac, the patriarch behind G&G Diamonds, and their uncle Cam. After wildcard Freddy kills a prominent diamond dealer, his brother Jake must bail him out and save the family business while maneuvering amongst jewelry thugs, blood diamond deals, false certificates, and the Feds.

“I’ve been interested in this idea for several years and am thrilled to have found such great partners to bring this project to fruition,” said Fuqua. “I’m always looking for projects that explore worlds that audiences think they know, and then shining an authentic light on them, and with ‘ICE’ we’re going to do both.”

“‘ICE’ has truly been a labor of love for us as we have been cultivating and evolving this project with Antoine Fuqua for more than two years,” said Christopher Long, senior vice president, Original Content and Production, AT&T. “With Antoine, our amazing team of writers, as well as our studio eOne, we know that ‘ICE’ will capture the attention of viewers who are looking for exciting new shows with compelling storylines to add to their must watch TV lineup.”

“We are delighted to deepen our longstanding relationship with AT&T and establish an exciting new one with Fuqua Films,” said Pancho Mansfield, president, Global Scripted Programming, eOne Television. “With ‘ICE,’ we will deliver suspenseful drama at its finest and an instant crowd-pleaser.”
