Ingobernable: New Netflix Series to Film in US

Ingobernable TV show on Netflix

Ingobernable is facing a big change. The series, which is coming to Netflix, is facing a change of location. Production was originally set for Mexico, but the series will now film in San Diego, according to Deadline.

The series will star Kate del Castillo, who was at the center of the scandal with Sean Penn and Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman. The actress fears what might happen to her if she returns to Mexico to film the series.

Events have already caused a delay for production of the series, but Netflix is still moving forward with the project. The series has been given a 20 episode order.

Ingobernable will tell the story of “Irene Urzua, the wife of Mexico’s president. A woman with a strong personality, conviction and clear ideas, Urzua is capable of ‘creating a president, leaving a president and killing a president.’”
