Glad to see that story resolved so quickly. Amy Schumer has clarified that her Inside Amy Schumer TV series on Comedy Central has not been cancelled. See the comedian’s tweets on the subject, below.
The cable network has allowed Schumer to extend her hiatus for at least a year, to tour and meet other obligations. While Inside Amy Schumer has been renewed for a fifth season, the star says it is not slated, yet.
This morning, Schumer first tweeted: “#InsideAmySchumer is not cancelled. @ComedyCentral has provided us with a wonderful home and we couldn’t be happier there. I am just touring.”

Her next tweet reads, “Doing Standup and focusing on writing more for the next year at least. We are slated for a season 5 but not in the foreseeable future.”

Schumer’s final tweet on the subject for now says, “I’m grateful @ComedyCentral is giving me this time to work on other projects. Now please grab my book #TheGirlWithTheLowerBackTattoo for now.”

The “Is Inside Amy Schumer cancelled?” story started, because of tweets Schumer herself posted yesterday. She indicated that she could not fire Kurt Metzger (over his comments concerning rape allegations about another comic; details, here), “…because [they] aren’t making the show anymore. There are no writers for it.” To this reporter, her earlier response now seems rather dodgy.
The full tweet reads, “I didn’t fire Kurt. He isn’t a writer for my show because we aren’t making the show anymore. There are no writers for it.”

At any rate, fans should be able to expect a fifth season of the Inside Amy Schumer show, sometime in the future. When we know more, you will.
