Despite a sizable drop in the ratings during its sophomore outing, the Into the Badlands TV show was still the top rated AMC TV series that doesn’t use the words Walking Dead in its title. Now the post-apocalyptic adventure is back for a third season. Can it stanch the bleeding or even rebuild its audience this time around? An AMC martial arts drama, Into the Badlands stars Daniel Wu, Eleanor Matsuura, Stephen Lang, Sherman Augustus, Babu Ceesay, Orla Brady, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Ally Ioannides, Lorraine Toussaint, Ella-Rae Smith, Lewis Tan, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Nick Frost. The series unfolds centuries into the future in a feudal society called the Badlands.
Season three kicks off after Veil’s death. Sunny (Wu) and his son, Henry, are living off the grid, when the baby takes ill. Sunny teams up with Bajie (Frost) to journey back into the Badlands, where The Widow (Beecham) and Baron Chau (Matsuura) are engaged in a protracted war. Meanwhile an enigmatic nomad, Pilgrim (Ceesay), arrives with claims of ushering in a new era of “peace.” Soon, enemies will ally themselves to defend the Badlands.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The second season of Into the Badlands averaged a 0.79 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.990 million total viewers.
