The CW just ordered three new series for the 2019-20 season, but will there be more? Deadline just released a status update for the network’s remaining pilots, Jane the Novela, The Lost Boys, and Glamorous.
A spinoff of Jane the Virgin, Jane the Novela is described as an anthology series where each season is based on a different fictional novel “written by” Jane Villanueva and narrated by the author herself.
Meanwhile, The Lost Boys is based on the 1987 cult classic film, which centers on a group of teen vampires living in Santa Cruz, California. Glamorous, on the other hand, “centers on a gender-nonconforming recent high school graduate (Ben J. Pierce) who lands the gig of a lifetime interning at a cosmetics company whose products he panned on YouTube.”
According to Deadline, The CW is not moving forward with Jane the Novela. However, the network is still considering Glamorous and is retooling The Lost Boys pilot.
What do you think? Do you watch The CW? Which new pilots do you want to see as a series?
