The Jetsons are coming back to TV. Deadline reports ABC has ordered a live-action pilot based on the classic animated series.
Executive produced by Robert Zemeckis, the multi-camera reboot “is set 100 years in the future and looks at America’s favorite future family through a modern filter.” The original Hanna-Barbera series ran from 1962 to 1963 and was then briefly revived for syndication in the mid-1980s.
Gary Janetti will write the ABC pilot and executive produce alongside Zemeckis and Jack Rapke.
