Amazon has its Jack Ryan. Variety reported that John Krasinki has landed the starring role in the new Amazon adaptation of Jack Ryan, who is a character created by Tom Clancy.
Jack Ryan has been featured in five feature films, and the new adaptation will have Carlton Cuse and Michael Bay working behind the scenes.
Krasinski had his star on The Office on NBC, and he was last seen on the big screen in 13 Hours, which also featured Michael Bay behind the scenes.
Variety reported that Amazon has given the Jack Ryan series a series commitment, but it has not been completely greenlit yet. Variety reported that Krasinski’s casting could help expedite that process.
