Doug Heffernan meet Kevin Gable. Watch these new teasers for the first season of the Kevin Can Wait TV show, premiering on CBS Monday, September 19, 2016 at 8:30pm ET/PT. Beginning October 24, it will move to 8:00pm.
In the first promo, star Kevin James plays himself, talking to his King of Queens character Doug, about his new role as Kevin Gable. His Kevin Can Wait co-star Erinn Hayes and King of Queens co-star Leah Remini are referenced in a sweet, flattering way. The new sitcom also stars: Taylor Spreitler, Mary-Charles Jones, James DiGiacomo, Ryan Cartwright , Lenny Venito, Gary Valentine, and Leonard Earl Howze.
In the second, Doug catches up with Kevin at the craft services table, and proposes playing a wisdom-dispensing delivery man on Kevin Can Wait.
In the third promo, Doug finds Kevin in his dressing room and offers to play a wacky neighbor on Kevin Can Wait. When Kevin demurs and says those decisions are up to CBS, Doug says, “We both know that’s not true.”
In the last spot, Kevin snacks on carrot sticks, while taking in a little TV. When Doug questions his food choice, he explains he has to get in shape for his upcoming TV show. Doug grabs a bucket of chicken and says, “I’m on in re-runs, so I can blow up like a tick. Don’t matter.”
Kevin grabs a piece of chicken. “We’re not on ’til September, so…” Psst, Kev, it’s August 30th.
CBS says, “Kevin Can Wait stars Kevin James as a newly retired police officer looking forward to spending carefree quality time with his wife and three kids, only to discover he faces tougher challenges at home than he ever did on the streets. Kevin Can Wait premieres September 19th! Only CBS.”
