Why was Kevin Can Wait cancelled? Recently, CBS chief Kelly Kahl explained the network’s decision to end the TV show after two seasons, Deadline reports.
The sitcom stars James as Kevin Gable, a former police officer who, after the death of his wife, finds himself working for his old rival, Vanessa (Leah Remini), at her security firm. The cast also includes Taylor Spreitler, Ryan Cartwright, Mary-Charles Joes, James DiGiacomo, Gary Valentine, and Leonard Earl Howze.
Speaking to Deadline, Kahl revealed CBS cancelled Kevin Can Wait because of low ratings:
The numbers. It was a strong show for us, it’s had a lot of decline this year, it was heading in the wrong direction. The numbers were going down as the year went on and looking forward, it didn’t look like a show that was going to be strong enough to anchor a night for us going forward.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Kevin Can Wait? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
