The kids are back in the kitchen. Food Network has announced that season two of Kids Baking Championship will premiere on January 4th.
The series is hosted by Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman, star of the cancelled Food Network series, Ace of Cakes.
The show pits eight kids (ages 10 to 13) against each other in a series of baking challenges. The first season premiered in early 2015 and included challenges like cream puffs, lemon bars, and macarons.
For season two, the winner will earn a $25,000 prize.
From Food Network exec Bob Tuschman:
The bakers might be small, but Kids Baking Championship is bigger than ever with more episodes, tougher challenges, and a greater grand prize. Duff and Valerie add even more flavor and fun, making this competition just as delectable as the amazing treats the kid bakers create.”
