Killer Women, Mind Games: New Dramas to Air Tuesdays

Killer Women on ABC ABC has struggled to find a new successful drama for their Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Lucky 7 was quickly cancelled and resurrecting Body of Proof didn’t work out. Now, they’re trying a pair of series for 2014 — Killer Women and Mind Games.

Killer Women will premiere on January 7th. In this crime drama, tough Molly Parker (Tricia Helfer) is one of the first women to join the elite group of Texas Rangers. She’s committed to finding the truth and seeing justice served. In a male-dominated world, she is aided by her sixth sense for why women kill — rarely out of hatred, usually for what they love.

The rest of the cast includes Marc Blucas (a veteran of recently cancelled Necessary Roughness), Marta Milans, Michael Trucco, and Alex Fernandez.

There are eight episodes of Killer Women and it will be replaced on the schedule by Mind Games on March 11th.

Mind Games follows brothers Ross (Christian Slater) and Clark Edwards (Steve Zahn). They’re partners in The Edwards Agency, an unusual business based on the belief that people’s decisions are influenced by their environment — particularly in ways that they’re not aware. Clark is a former university professor and world-renowned expert in the fields of human behavior, psychology and motivation. Older brother Ross is a brilliant schemer recently out of prison after a two-year stint for fraud. He’s come up with a business model that he believes can make him and his team very rich.

Other castmembers includes Cedric Sanders, Gregory Marcel, Jaime Ray Newman, Megalyn Echikunwoke, and Katherine Cunningham.

What do you think? Do you think either of these shows will be a success or do you think they’ll end up cancelled too?
