TV show description:
Sergeant Detective Jessica “Jess” King (Amy Price-Francis) made it through eight years in Homicide, as well as three motorcycle accidents and two failed marriages. As she tries to make her third marriage work, how will she handle her new job as head of the Major Crimes Task Force?

Jess is a powerhouse and a force of nature — a cop who sees things that everyone else misses. She says what she thinks and never stops thinking -– about a crime scene, about evidence, about the motivations of the suspects.

Professionally and in private, Jess faces two challenges: to save her third marriage and to prove that she’s the best cop in town. Her police unit takes over cases already in progress: the toughest cases that the ordinary police force has failed to solve.

Jess can take over any case in the city — whether the original investigating officers want her to or not — and she gets to work with a different squad in every case, ensuring that two days are never the same.

Jess’ current husband is Danny Sless (Gabriel Hogan), an officer with the ‘Guns and Gangs’ squad. He adores her but their rigorous efforts to get pregnant haven’t worked out and that’s putting a strain on things.

Detective Sergeant Derek Spears (Alan van Sprang) is the former head of the Major Crimes Task Force and Jess’ partner. She took over after he had a breakdown while on television.

Other characters include Police Chief Peter Graci (Tony Nardi), Detective Eleni Demaris (Suzanne Coy), Detective MK Gordon (Zoe Doyle), Detective Jason Collier (Aaron Poole), Detective Pen Martin (Rossif Sutherland), and Detective Ingrid Evans (Karen Robinson).

Series Finale:
