Knightfall is back on its feet. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming History series will resume filming in November.
Created by Don Handfield and Richard Rayner, the drama chronicles the medieval military order the Knights Templar. The cast includes Jeremy Renner, Tom Cullen, Sabrina Bartlett, and Jim Carter.
Earlier this year, a fire broke out on set while the historical drama was filming in Prague. The blazed reportedly caused nearly $4 million in damage to the backlot set, Barrandov Studios. Now, producers are saying the show will wrap filming season one by Christmas.
From producer David Minkowski:
We are primarily waiting for the backlot to be re-built and not using alternative locations, as the backlot set is a unique and impressive set that cannot be duplicated. That said, we did shift some scenes to various castles around the countryside.”
History has not yet set a premiere date for Knightfall.
