What will the new LA Law look like? Recently, FOX boss Gary Newman discussed the upcoming reboot series, Deadline reports.
Last year, we reported 20th Century FOX TV was reviving the classic NBC legal drama, which starred Richard Dysart, Alan Rachins, Jill Eikenberry, Harry Hamlin, Jimmy Smits, and Blair Underwood. The show ran for eight seasons before ending in 1994.
During this week’s Television Critics Association press tour, Newman revealed the new show will feature elements from the original series:
They found a way to take an iconic series and bring it to 2016 Los Angeles. It is an interesting blend of old and new.”
The LA Law reboot will reportedly bring back old characters and introduce new ones. Though, Newman did mention the show won’t necessarily end up at FOX:
It will be taken to the other networks too.”
The LA Law revival is being developed by original series co-creator Steven Bochco and one of the show’s original writers, Billy Finkelstein.
