Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union are teaming up. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two will star in Charter’s upcoming TV series LA’s Finest.
A spin-off of the Bad Boys movie franchise, the cop drama “follows Syd Burnett (Union), last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, who has left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mom with an equally complex past, Syd is pushed to examine whether her unapologetic lifestyle might be masking a greater personal secret.”
Charter has ordered 13 episodes of LA’s Finest, which will be the first scripted series for the cable company. The TV show is slated to debut in 2019.
