Last year, in Last Man Standing’s first season on FOX, the sitcom got off to a very strong start but the ratings dwindled as the season progressed. Some would argue that cast changes were the cause of the decline. Will the numbers continue to fall in season eight or, will they bounce back? Will Last Man Standing be cancelled or renewed for season nine? Stay tuned.
Airing on the FOX television network, Last Man Standing stars Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, Hector Elizondo, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, Molly McCook, Jordan Masterson, Jonathan Adams, and Krista Marie Yu. Guest stars include Kaitlyn Dever, Jet Jurgensmeyer, Jay Leno, Terry Bradshaw, Susan Sullivan, Tisha Campbell, and Bill Engvall. The series revolves around Mike Baxter (Allen), the marketing director of the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores and a “man’s man”. His family doesn’t see eye-to-eye with him so it can sometimes be a little tough for Mike to stand his ground and stay in touch with his inner man.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: Season seven of Last Man Standing on FOX averaged a 1.09 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.71 million viewers.

We havent missed an episode of last man. More of Jay Leno would be nice, bring back the old Mandy but current one improved a bit this year . Eve should be in it more as well. Hector is one of my fav characters maybe involve him and his new wife more. Stop changing time slots do they not realize that hurts ratings. Hope it is renewed for 2020. If LMS had not been on I never would of found Deputy, love that new show.
The new Mandy just doesn’t work. She has zero pizazz. And Chuck’s original wife was way better than this one. And while I’m moaning, the exchange student is cute & perky, but her place in the ensemble is just lame– she adds nothing.
And Tim Allen really needs to get off his soapbox and just stick with comedy. I’ve watched him for decades, but his political shtick is getting tiresome. Just stick with the comedy show please! I get enough politics as it is– I’d just like to watch a show for the fun of it.

I love Last Man Standing. Although, I still watch it, it’s not the same without the original Mandy and Carol….and oh how I miss Eve. Bring them back and the show will be perfect!

Bear in mind millions of viewers could not watch LMS because Dish dropped local channels earlier this week. Your sampling is not accurate due to this morning many dish customers are extremely angry that we are not able to watch our season premiere or the second shows. The season premiere was aired and the day after dish drop the fox affiliate local channel for a huge area in Texas at least and other areas we’ve heard and we’re still fighting to try and get our channel back
Wow! You do realize you can temporarily switch from or disconnect your cable or sat dish. It takes less than 2 minutes. You can then watch your local channels. Then reconnect your cable or sat dish. I fear for our future!
Great show! Though we miss the previous Mandy, the new actress is hilarious and fun, a good match with Kyle.
Wow! If it lost 45% viewership on the season debut…one can only imagine how much further it will drop. Probably 4.0+- million by years end. It’s obvious the loss of the original Mandy and the absence of Eve have guaranteed cancellation. Thanks for the first seven seasons. I’ll miss Tim. At his age, he’s now doomed to playing bit parts as either the cranky Grandpa or cranky neighbor. Sad end to a great career.

Chuck needs to realize dish dropped all the local channels due to contract negotiations so millions and millions of viewers were not able to watch the fox local channels because of this fight between the local channels and how much dish wants compensation for caring them.
It lost viewers because it changed day and time slot since wwe wrestling took its spot.

They need to bring back the other Mandy, this Mandy doesn’t cut it. And the original Boyd. That would bring g viewers back. The original Mandy was awesome…the show is kinda of flaking out.
