If you love reading, you might love Amazon’s new drama series. Variety reports the streaming service is debuting two new pilots, The Interestings and The Last Tycoon, in June.
Both hour-long shows are based on novels.
The Last Tycoon takes its title and inspiration from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s unfinished novel of the same name. The author’s final book tells the story of hot shot Hollywood producer Monroe Stahr (Matt Bomer), who butts heads with his studio head/father figure, Pat Brady (Kelsey Grammer). Lily Collins also stars.
Based on the book by Meg Wolitzer, The Interestings chronicles a group of summer camp friends over the course of their lives. The series stars Lauren Ambrose, David Krumholtz, Jessica Pare, Matt Barr, Gabriel Ebert, Jessica Collins, and Corey Cott.
Both pilots will be available to watch starting June 17th.
What do you think? Have you read either The Interestings or The Last Tycoon? Will you watch the pilots?
