Airing on the NBC television network, Law & Order: SVU follows an elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes in New York City. In season 18, the cast is made up of Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino, and Raul Esparza. Recurring actors include Robert John Burke, Peter Gallagher, and Elizabeth Marvel.

The 18th season of Law & Order: SVU on NBC averaged a 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.83 million viewers. Compared to season 17, that’s down by 16% in the demo and down by 16% in total viewers. Compare its standing against the other NBC TV shows we are tracking. Telly’s Take
This venerable NBC is down in the ratings but it remains one of the peacock network’s best-rated scripted shows. Executive producer Dick Wolf also has a reputation for keeping costs down. I have no doubt that SVU will be renewed for season 19.
