The cast of Lethal Weapon is getting larger. According to Deadline and The Wrap, Chandler Kinney and Dante Brown will star in FOX’s upcoming reboot series.
Based on the popular Lethal Weapon film franchise, the TV show comes from writer Matt Miller and director McG.
In the series, former Navy SEAL Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) teams with LAPD Detective Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans Sr.) after losing his wife and baby.
Kinney will play Murtaugh’s 15-year-old daughter, Riana, who is being described as “a typical L.A. teenager.” Meanwhile, Brown will play Roger “R.J.” Murtaugh Jr., Murtaugh’s 17-year-old son who wants to join the military. Kinney and Brown join Jordana Brewster, who has been cast as LAPD hostage negotiator Dr. Maureen Cahill.
