Life in Pieces may be around a little longer. Deadline reports the CBS show’s creator Justin Adler has just signed a two-year deal with 20th Century FOX Television, the series’ producing studio.
The ensemble comedy stars James Brolin, Dianne Wiest, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Colin Hanks, and Zoe Lister-Jones. CBS renewed the series for a second season back in May.
From 20th Century FOX executive Jonnie Davis:
Life in Pieces is as unique and groundbreaking in its format as it is heartwarming and funny– it’s no wonder it became the highest rated new comedy of last season. Full credit goes entirely to its creator Justin Adler, who wrote the pilot on spec and delivered an inspired take on the family sitcom based on experiences and relationships from his own life. This deal keeps this gifted, inventive writer we love running the show, and allows us to develop other projects with him going forward.”
Season two of Life in Pieces premieres on October 27th at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.
