Little Women has some new company. Deadline reports Emily Watson and Michael Gambon have joined the upcoming BBC/PBS TV show.
Based on the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott, the mini-series “follows sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March on their journey from childhood to adulthood.” The cast also includes Angela Lansbury, Maya Hawke, Willa Fitzgerald, Annes Elwy, Kathryn Newton, and Jonah Hauer-King.
On Little Women, Watson will be playing Marmee, the matriarch of the March family, and Gambon has been cast as the family’s neighbor, Mr Laurence. Neither PBS nor the BBC have announced a premiere date for the limited series.
