Live with Kelly and … Anderson? According to The Wrap, Kelly Ripa wants Anderson Cooper to replaced Michael Strahan on the syndicated morning show, airing on ABC O & O’s.
Earlier, we reported co-host Michael Strahan’s exit was moved to this month after he announced he’s moving to Good Morning America full time.
Apparently, Ripa wants Anderson Cooper to be her co-host. The CNN anchor has guest co-hosted Live several times since Ripa became a co-host in 2001. However, ABC doesn’t seem to be as eager to put a new co-host in so soon.
The network reportedly wants to go through a wide search for the new co-host, like they did when Regis Philbin left in 2011. Additionally, Cooper has a full-time position at CNN and would likely be too busy considering the election season.
