Is Kelly Ripa getting a new co-host? Recently, the LIVE! with Kelly host revealed she’s in no rush to find a co-host, Deadline reports.
Earlier this year, Ripa’s co-host Michael Strahan announced he was leaving the syndicated ABC morning show after four years. The decision prompted a large discussion about who would replace Strahan.
On a recent episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Ripa told host Andy Cohen that there was no time table set for finding a new co-host:
You know we really didn’t set a time frame for ourselves; we just wanted to wait until we found the right person. What we didn’t anticipate was that we would have such an outpouring of interest. Our list got very long very quickly. We’ve been trying to keep it as narrow as possible, but then people pop up.”
Previously, there was speculation that frequent guest co-host Anderson Cooper would replace Strahan, but he is currently employed full-time at CNN.
