Ándale! Ándale! Variety reports Warner Bros. is developing a movie based on the Looney Tunes character Speedy Gonzales.
An unusually fast Mexican mouse, the character first appeared in 1953.
The movie, which is being envisioned as a “heist caper,” will feature the voice of Eugenio Derbez as Speedy. Mel Blanc originally voiced the mouse, who has appeared in more than 40 cartoons over the decades.
No word yet on when the movie will be released.
