Somebody new is joining Lopez. Deadline reports Rain Valdez has been cast in season two of the TV Land series.
The semi-autobiographical comedy revolves around the life of actor and comedian George Lopez. The cast also includes Anthony “Citric” Campos, Hayley Huntley, James Michael Connor, Maronzio Vance, and Ashley Zamora.
Valdez, a transgender actress herself, will play Coco, “a pretty and enigmatic transgender actress who is under contract at a network, whose executives are not sure how to cast her or even talk to her.” Season two of Lopez premieres on TV Land on March 29th at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
