Lopez: Season Two Ratings

Although George Lopez’s FX sitcom, Saint George, was cancelled after one season in 2014, his latest TV show, Lopez, was renewed for season two on TV Land, — despite ratings that would have seen it quickly cancelled on a broadcast network. How will it do this year? Will Lopez be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.

A semi-autobiographical single-camera comedy series, Lopez stars the actor and comedian as himself. The TV Land cast also includes Anthony “Citric” Campos, Hayley Huntley, James Michael Connor, Maronzio Vance, and Ashley Zamora. While George wants to give back to the Latino community where he grew up, he feels like he never lives up to their lofty expectations. After working all through season one to get a residency show in Vegas, season two of Lopez finds George motivated to move on to bigger and better things. He’s tired of doing the same show every night.  This season will also see George move on from dating here and there and toward a steadier relationship. Meanwhile, Manolo (Campos) will go back to school to earn his degree.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The first season of the Lopez TV show averaged a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic, and an audience of 447,000 total viewers.

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
