Garcia recently told EOnline’s Kristin Dos Santos, “It will address some of the issues, like the food drops, and it will deal with what happened on the island after Hurley took over and how he handled things… It will give you a taste of what took place after Hurley took over as the new number one. There’s a little epilogue thing going on with the DVD.”
An insider tells Santos that the epilogue will also resolve what became of Walt (Malcolm David Kelley). Garcia would only tease, “There are other people in it, but I’m not going to tell you who.”
Garcia noted that he and Matthew Fox kept going back and forth throughout the final season, thinking one of their characters would end up as the island’s new protector. As it turned out, they were both right.
The actor also shared what he thought about the finale. He said, “I loved it. When I first got the finale script, it didn’t have the final act in it yet. But I got to the part where Hurley takes over and there was a kind of a sigh of relief. I thought OK, this ending is a satisfying ending for me. Everything I invested in this show does pay off. And so I’m good, the ending is good, and I don’t have to worry about it.”
