Cliff Clavin is coming to HBO. TVLine reports John Ratzenberger has been cast in the network’s new pilot A Lot.
Based on Maureen Dowd’s book Are Men Necessary?, the comedy stars Whitney Cummings “as Amanda, a financially successful woman navigating a world that is complicated by the biological and cultural differences between men and women.”
Ratzenberger will play Gerry, Amanda’s father, who suffers from locked-in syndrome—a condition where he “he cannot speak or move and his eyes remain closed.” A premiere date for A Lot has not been announced yet.
