Isaac is tackling Shakespeare. The Los Angeles Times reports Love Boat actor Ted Lange has written and directed a prequel to Othello.
Lange played bartender Isaac Washington on the classic ABC series between 1977 and 1986.
Lange’s new play, The Cause, My Soul, begins with the meeting of doomed lovers Othello and Desdemona. The play is currently showing at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles.
This is not the first time Lange has written or directed. The actor served as a screenwriter and director for several episodes of The Love Boat and has written over 15 plays.
